It wanders randomly about
With no return of that's no doubt
It moves relentless through the land
And leaves behind just rocks and sand
Sometimes it moves in rapid pace
Much like a startled herd in chase
As if exhausted from its rush
Its roar became a sudden hush
And suddenly all life around
Would break its silence in abound
To greet its might now in repose

Dieter Carlton is a well-known American artist whose works have won numerous top awards in top-rated art shows and venues throughout the U.S., as well as world-wide web art contests. He is also an award-winning cartoonist and has appeared in many popular artist publications.
