Artist's Description
BALANCE OF POWER by Dieter Carlton
They ruled the virgin plains so vast
These mighty creatures, ages past.
Their numbers once as grains of sand.
In friendly herds they grazed the land.
Then like a raging storm man came,
With hostile guns to kill and maim
But not for food, their hides instead
Without a care, so many dead
And soon their numbers dwindled small
No match against the greedy squall
But nature can't be taunted long
For she will surely right the wrong
From her wake there comes a flower
And soon, the BALANCE OF POWER.
