As cold as winters tend to be
They offer thrilling sights to see

Especially when the setting sun
Will render shadows on the run

While casting rays of flaming light
Across the land before the night

But when its rays begin to fade
As if they could the night evade

They give the day its last embrace
And glance across the mountain face

While lighting tree tops bright aglow
