Alas the biting winter snows
Embed the land in deep repose
Great icey sheets of brilliant white
Reflect the sun with blinding light
Though once a fisher's paradise
The lakes now barren fields of ice
The trees like layered wedding cakes
Replete with snow for goodness sakes

No color save the deep blue clouds
And trees about like random crouds
Indeed a very lovely day
