LORD OF WINDS by Dieter Carlton

As dawn emerges from the night
A wary eagle takes to flight

Above the forest evergreens
In search of food by any means

Across a river gorge she swoops
While rolling, turning making loops

And when above a waterfall
She marvels at its thunderous call

Then flaps her wings with daring grace
The prey below she gives it chase

And all before the day begins
