I walked along a rustic pier
Intrigued by all the sounds I hear
Of chirping crickets, croaking frogs
And turtles dashing off their logs
And in the water down below
The lillies gathered row by row
Against the shore to clear the way
As if to ask me in to play
So all my clothes I cast aside
And took a dive in playfull stride
To greet the water with a splash
My wakes along the shores would crash
And then I quickly swam beyond
