It once was such a lawless place
Despite its vast and empty space

The smoke of guns would fill the air
From robber gangs so ruthless there

No bank of brick and steel would do
These bandits always made it through

But then there came the very best
Their guns so swift they tamed the west

Though very tough they were indeed
Fast guns they would no longer need

And soon these soldiers faded off
As thankless folks their guns would scoff

Only when they fear the danger
Will they beckon THE LAST RANGER
