a poem for which the artist wrote as follows ...

The winter begged us south by sea
To islands where we longed to be

We chartered us a rustic boat
But wondered how it stayed afloat

We sailed the seas for days on end
With hopes a storm would not offend

But soon the winds began to wail
We sailed headlong into a gale

The storm would thrash us hard about
And somehow it had changed our route

For soon we found that we'd been beached
Alas the islands we had reached

And as the storm would pass us by
We marveled at the spectral sky

Then thanked the Lord that with respect
We lived through THE NEPTUNE EFFECT
