I ventured through the distant past
A journey long but there at last
It was a wild, exciting ride
Though in my dreams I must abide
And in my mind, I saw it there
Tall mountains, lakes, life everywhere
And trees of every color too
A rare but pleasant sight to view
Above it all in perfect form
Appearing through a passing storm
A bright array of colored bands
A crown above these virgin lands

Dieter Carlton is a well-known American artist whose works have won numerous top awards in top-rated art shows and venues throughout the U.S., as well as world-wide web art contests. He is also an award-winning cartoonist and has appeared in many popular artist publications. Carlton is particularly recognized for his detailed knowledge of structural elements and the many scientific aspects of art and is called upon to perform lecture tours on this highly esoteric subject.
