Description
WHEN THE SPARROWS SING by Dieter Carlton
a poem for which the artist wrote as follows:
Out in the country far away
As roosters wake another day
The Spring retreats to yield its place
To Summer and its hectic pace
It's time to till the barren ground
And sow the seeds of life around
But plowing's not the only chore
There's also feeding stock and more
And still there's time to take a rest
To savor nature at its best
Vast meadows, rolling hills of green
Where rivers flow through sights unseen
Where simple things will come to pass
Like walking barefoot in the grass
And that's what country life can bring
In Summer WHEN THE SPARROWS SING
