WINDFALL by Dieter Carlton
...a poem for which the artist wrote as follows

I walk the forest every day
To view its wonders on the way

To marvel at the sounds I hear
And how this helps my mind to clear

And though I see the birds abound
There must be other life around

So then I stopped to take a look
And standing near a forest brook

I spotted life just everywhere
From rabbits here to turtles there

A hog, a deer to name a few
A frog, a snake and others too

I think I could have seen them all
Were it not for all the WINDFALL
