...a poem for which the artist wrote as follows
Descending slowly out of sight
To yield its place unto night
Reluctant still to keep the day
It tries to hold the night at bay
By sending out its shining beams
A sudden burst of day it seems
It casts its last remaining hopes
Across the rugged mountain slopes
And down along the valley floor
Though slowly fading more and more
As fleeting as it all may be
It's quite a thrilling sight to see
Indeed a feast to sooth the eye
