The fog, as thick as cultured whey
Would keep the sun from breaking day
But then there came a gentle breeze
That filtered softly through the trees
Where birds would wake to give their call
Like whistles from a concert hall
And soon the sun's pervasive glow
Revealed the valley down below
With floral waves of meadows green
Upon them dew a diamond sheen
And dashing 'cross a shallow creek
A team of bucks for what they seek
Its all of what the days consist
