NORTHERN LIGHTS by Dieter Carlton

Across the baron arctic fields
And bitter cold that never yields

No trees, no shrubs, no grass at all
In Winter, summer, spring and fall

Where winds would blow with endless force
And scarcely any life, of course

There comes a mighty polar bear
Who rules the icy kingdom there

She walks the icy fields with pride
And takes her daily life in stride

Her meals abundant from the sea
No other place she'd rather be

With nights like days and days like nights
She longs to see the NORTHERN LIGHTS

Dieter Carlton is a well-known American artist whose works have won numerous top awards in top-rated art shows and venues throughout the U.S., as well as world-wide web art contests. He is also an award-winning cartoonist and has appeared in many popular artist publications. Carlton is particularly recognized for his detailed knowledge of structural elements and the many scientific aspects of art and is called upon to perform lecture tours on this highly esoteric subject.
