Imagine now a quiet place
With ample food and lots of space

A land where life prevails in bliss
A paradise one can't dismiss

Where birds would grace the morning sky
While chirping songs as they soar by

Escarpments on the distant rise
Appear like silver to the eyes

Below a lake of crystal blue
Embellishing the pristine view

Around it like a concert crowd
A sea of trees on grassy shroud

A place that's void of pain and strife
Where one can live a joyful life

Where only goodness can tarry
For it is called called SANCTUARY

Dieter Carlton is a well-known American artist whose works have won numerous top awards in top-rated art shows and venues throughout the U.S., as well as world-wide web art contests. He is also an award-winning cartoonist and has appeared in many popular artist publications.
