There in the sylvan shroud so deep
A princess wakens from her sleep
She stands with pride and looks about
Then gives a loud but gentle shout
To summon hence her mighty steed
A pale but rare, enchanted breed
She mounts it with a stylish grace
Then rides it to survey her space
She rules a mystic kingdom there
With fairies, wizards everywhere
A place of dragons, magic spells
Where wizards conjured wine from wells
A place of heroes, greatness borne

Dieter Carlton is a well-known American artist whose works have won numerous top awards in top-rated art shows and venues throughout the U.S., as well as world-wide web art contests. He is also an award-winning cartoonist and has appeared in many popular artist publications.
