Description
CONTEMPT by Dieter Carlton ...
We flew above the waters high
When there below a log we spy
So down we went to rest a bit
And on this log we chose to sit
A band of feathered fowls we are
Weary from our journeys afar
But now this log was warm and wet
With teeth and eyes, a croc I'll bet
So up we went to get away
While one upon the log did stay
Warn him though we did attempt
He shook his head in blind CONTEMPT

I love this!!! the green hue of the swamp and the glow of his teeth and snout and highlights on birds' wings - this is fabulous!

Dieter: This is a marvelous example of digital art. It is a coincidence that I took an actual photograph of a snowy egret sitting on the back of an alligator at a spring in Florida about ten years ago. You'll find it on my FAA site under "alligators" Just scroll down to #7. Carl Purcell
